Philip Seymour Hoffman (1967-2014)

I just read that Philip Seymour Hoffman died today at his apartment in New York. Needless to say, this is shocking news.
I’ve had a lot of respect for Hoffman as an actor. As I reflect on the various films I’ve seen him in, he was capable of a wide variety of roles. From Dusty in Twister to Truman Capote in Capote and everything in between, Hoffman had significant range as an actor. He was entertaining in both the serious and funnier roles.
He will be missed, however, there are a couple more films yet to be released. Most of his scenes for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay part 2 have already been filmed, so that and Mockingjay Part 1 will feature him.
